Just a shame the game won't allow us to force everything off .

True but I don't think the aids truly baby you on this game like forza does. Maybe once the patch is out you will see a difference in the aids really helping out.

We can still force cockpit view at least.

Never understood why forced cockpit view is ever discussed. Just my opinion, but isn't it just personal preference what view somebody wants to use? like it doesn't assist the car in anyway like the other assists do. But yeah, share your thoughts please as to why you think a camera angle should be forced.

I can't drive this car in a strait line and its always locking the wheels to one direction when i turn. And ABS is the biggest aid on this game imo.

Yeah, not digging the assists pros/cons on this game so far.

On forza,

Without ABS (if you could brake properly without it on) the best you could stop in was X distance (for example lets say 100 metres).
With ABS on the best you could stop in was Y difference (for example lets say 120 metres).

So if you mastered braking without ABS it was beneficial to run without.

On P Cars it appears that with ABS off you cannot stop the car anywhere near as short as with it on. Therefore no incentive to better yourself/skill level to eventually run with it off and gain the few extra tenths your looking for. Anyone else find this?? Maybe the patch with rumble triggers and trigger sensitivity etc. will improve this but at present I've reverted back to using assists in Project Cars against my wishes and better judgement. Anyone who knows me knows what an advocate I was for running no assist championships etc. over at VM as I find it adds the element of a challenge battling the car as well as the other racers.

To be honest I haven't used ABS so I can't say I know. I'll have to try that later. Although I think ABS is banned in the Clio Cup Uk.

As for Forced cockpit, I thought this would provide a bit of realism. I've done many forced cockpit and it always adds an edge to the racing, Making you more aware of your surroundings imo. I always use hood view so it'll be out of my comfort zone too.

I hadn't either but got fed up of getting rear ended in public lobbies as I had to brake a big distance earlier than everyone else to get the car slowed enough for the corners and alas most noddies in public lobbies have no perception of adjusting their usual braking distance when they have someone in front of them. Maybe I just aint got the braking settings sussed, haven't sussed the pressure I need to apply on the pads trigger, or simply the car tune needs sorting to be more stable etc under brakes, who knows. Must admit though since switching the assists on, although making it seem a lot more sterile, has made a huge difference on the times I'm producing as well as not spinning out every other lap as a wheel has touched the edge of a kurb.

I disagree Deano, although it does add a bit more realism (for wheel users) haven't the people who use a controller already made up their mind on how far they want to go with realism? Sitting on the sofa with a glass of whiskey and a control pad in a noisy house is my setup, forcing me to use a certain view for added realism is just silly  It's just how i see it mate, no biggy if that's the plan for this series :)

The Clios have a great cockpit view. If you throw the camera view to 90-92 you can see the whole left and rear view mirror.
