I'm not staff but it's done on championship standings prior to that round. E.G the game standings was breeze then me then road runner so RR started 18th, me 19th and breeze 20th.
My q: are there drop round(s)?

I asked about this in another series. I believe the rationale is that points are given out in a way where drop rounds aren't as damaging as they could be. I'm not the biggest fan, but it is what it is.
No wonder BAM don't show up any more, and our V8 team will probably drop out soon to. Some people have to play real life from time to time and to have a 10 round series with 2 endurance races and expect people to make every single event is just plain stupid.
Edit : I would also like to add that I've raced online for years and drop rounds quickly became the norm and every time a series popped up without one, it was sure to get brought up. A lot of people need that flexibility if they are to enjoy a race series.
Your also running other series with drop rounds that are far less time consuming than the V8's.
Seems to me that the main (not sole) reason why some people didn't turn up for the last race was because of the F1, and now people wish there to be a dropped round. well the race clashes with F1 again next week so how many dropped rounds were people expecting? The points structure is designed to support people who make the extra effort to race every week, whilst having gradually reducing gaps in the points that makes it much more possible for lobby A guys to miss a race but still manage to have a shot at the championship (similar to Hamilton having to retire in F1 therefore scoring no points, but it didn't ruin his championship).
Also Amarth, we are not currently running any series that include dropped rounds (we haven't run any series with them at all), so I'm not entirely sure where that piece of information has come from.
