While I may be opening up a can of worms with this topic, the TURN staff is all about continuous improvement. We don't claim to make flawless decisions, but I can tell you that we learn from our mistakes and we move forward with an action plan. That said, we'd love to know what you thought we did well this season, and what you think we could improve on for next time.
There are no bad ideas here, but please try to keep it constructive and actionable. Telling us that we suck or that the car choices were terrible doesn't give us enough insight as to how to fix the potential problem. Also, let other participants have their opinions, but constructively building on others ideas is perfectly acceptable. With that...I'll start:
Things I want to see stay in TURN official series:
1] I think the broadcasts really helped showcase how much talent we have here at TURN and I think it engages an audience that isn't necessarily racing with us currently. Just from this series alone, we've gained over 200 twitch followers.
2] The analysis sheets in the series documents clearly identify what's going on in the championship, as well as looking presentable.
Things I think could improve for future TURN official series:
1] perhaps rotating the broadcast to lobby B every so often would help showcase even more of the talent in TURN
2] Having the schedule show track names, circuit maps, race distances (laps), and weather/time conditions shown at the beginning of the season will help bring clarity for whats ahead rather than simply listing the track environment. (ie - Monza Alt, rather than simply saying Monza)
3] Scoring a "hardcore championship" alongside the normal championship will help show off the talents of those drivers that choose to run without ABS / STM / TCS. Several drivers have said they are longing for a hardcore series, but the issue is that the vast majority doesn't want to be forced to run a certain way. Combine that with the type of motorsport that those wanting to run a hardcore mode, and it just doesn't make sense to run it entirely by itself...but scored alongside the normal championship (similar to privateer championship) could be an interesting and rewarding for those brave and skilled drivers.
