Button reassignment

So is this going to be patched? Because it's kind of insane right now.
There seems to be a certain list of commands that MUST be assigned to the controller but good luck knowing which commands those are. The whole feature looks interesting to me but seem to be a PC exclusive feature since the Xbox controller isn't made completely of buttons.

If anyone has explored this enough to be an authority on it please speak up on it.

There's 45 patches currently being worked on at the minute for XBone Nerdicane by SMS but unfortunately they haven't released info on what all these patches will correct/fix. The only info SMS Dev Team have released so far is for the more important patch that will be sent out very soon and that will correct things like rumble, force feedback, mutiplayer options, lobby issues and more importantly the steering opposite lock bug thats currently driving XBox users insane.

I think I have noticed that a few times already. The wheel will lock left or right then fixes when I come to a complete stop. It's only a little annoying so far since it seems to happen only when I'm forced off track.

The defualt button config are the required.

For example: I changed, up and downshifting from, LB and RB to B and X. So whatever B and X are went to LB and RB. Same with lights I changed it from Up on D-pad to A.

You can also assign stuff that your not going use that much to your two "stick click button's".

IIRC, ignition was mapped initially but is not required.

Have you got a source for this info ? :)

I use the same B and X for shifting but use A as the clutch.

The whole reassignment feature really just makes me wish I could design my own wheel.

It was posted by one of the WMD Dev team on a forum related to the SMS updates. I'll see if I can find it again and post a link.

You can back out of the button assignment even when it says not all required buttons are assigned. When you have assigned the buttons you want press the start/menu button and go to help & options. This will get you out of the button assignment page.
Hope this helps
