We at TURN need your help. With the 2015 seasons now opening up, it's time for us to fill some internal vacancies. The role of Race Steward is a vital one to organised racing. The stewards ensure that any and all incidents that occur on track are dealt with quickly and efficiently in the fairest way possible. The current plan is for the TURN staff to appoint a single Chief Steward with two to three appointed stewards helping share their opinions and insights with the Chief Steward, so that as a team, they can feel comfortable adjudicating on inquiries or other infractions of the TURN official series rules. Stewards will serve their term for the calendar year, and the appointment process will be reevaluated in December of each year. We feel that these roles should come from qualified and respected members of the community, so that TURN staff itself can focus on the management of the series and simply accept the ruling of the stewards. We ask that anyone thinking of applying for these positions, has a good understanding of race craft and be level headed when making important decisions. Most importantly you must be able to dedicate and commit yourself to this role and be available to view incidents as and when they arise for all of the official series for the remainder of the calendar year. If stewards are frequently absent when needed, or prove to make biased judgments, the TURN staff reserves the right to appoint an interim steward.

Experience / Qualifications: No experience, however I am non-biased and impartial to all people involved in a disputes.

Why you want the position: I feel that if I was chosen as Chief Steward it would show the organization is wanting to start off with a clean sheet of paper, with an official that does not have past decisions in a previous league it would help with transparency and no previous perceived bias towards any specific driver or team. I can come up with illustrations for specific rules in question for a given race weekend, and enforce the rules with clemency or harshness when the situation calls for it. If the situation involves myself I know that I will need to take a step back and let the other Stewards rule as they must. I generally get along with everybody, and are patient when it comes to hearing out what people have to say, which is a good quality to what makes up a Steward for an online racing series.

Gamertag: XPR Roadrunner

Experience/Qualifications: Formula Forza Staff/Steward, helped out during SI investigations and kept an unbiased and cool head during all the proceedings. I've also run a few series at other sites, including the officially sanctioned SRT Viper Cup at XPLR. Those duties involved doing stewarding work as well, and I've never once had issue by others with my decision making in regards to this. Also, as race engineer to a real life team, I've also helped bring evidence when required to the Canadian Touring Car Championship officials and had a glimpse at their process. Finally, not that it pertains to racing, but I also refereed elementary school level Volleyball in many tournaments and was commended on my work for officiating in tight and often heated (between the school that hired me and my old school) matches. I was always unbiased towards any team including my old school's. Also being a co-leader at XPR for a few years now, I feel my leadership skills will help with being the Head Steward.

Position applying for: Head Steward, but will accept a position on the stewarding team as a regular member if that is where you guys would like me to be.

Why you want the position: Since the Formula Forza days, I've always been itching to help out when needed, whether that be hosting, admin, stewarding and the like. I enjoyed being a part of the Formula Forza staff and since the announcement of TURN, I've made it well known to certain staff that I would love to help out in ways like I did at Formula Forza. Seeing the need for stewards is exactly the kind of thing that I was hoping to be able to help on.

Experience/Qualifications: Virtual Formula E Season 1, first races were swell but the issues with the new invite system and personal issues rose so it plagued Season 1 sadly, but it did finish. I would be a TLR Representative to the board and I don't mind making the right call, even if it means putting my teammates in a tough spot. I'm an advocate of clean racing, my overtakes against people on YouTube would show that I don't use bumping or pushing, I take my time. I review rules and I'm informed of them in every sim racing series I've joined. I've been in charge of and been a VP of some minor series I still kick around on, so I have handed down penalties to drivers before.

Position: I would like Race Steward. I don't need a lot of responsibility and I prefer to have an opinion rather than handing down the penalty.

Why: I've represented TURN in events/series outside of it, so I'm very passionate about it succeeding and if being a race steward is one thing I can do to help it's success, bring it on.
