My mom succumbed to her battle with cancer in April 2014. She was only 52. She was diagnosed in Aug 2013 with a rare form of bile duct cancer called cholangiocarcinoma http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cholangiocarcinoma. While I cant race. I appreciate everyone that can donate or just doing anything they can to give something. After she passed away, I asked everyone that she knew to make donations to either cancer research or hospice care. Hope you guys have fun.

I am sorry to hear that buddy but this is the reason why we are doing this because it's something that has touched on everyone's life or at least known someone close who has, lost a battle, won a battle or currently battling.

It's not just about the racing it's about the cause but we will get as much live coverage as we can :)

Cheers Daniel I think a lot of us are racing for the cause too but I'm sure it will still be competetive.

My mom was diagnosed with a relatively rare type of Pancreatic Cancer back in march. It was pretty scary but from the get go, it was determined that it was a very treatable form of cancer. My mom went thru an extensive 6hr surgery in June to remove the tumor, 1/3 of her pancreas, entire gall bladder, a bit of her stomach, the stomach valve to the small intestines, a little bit of her small intestines, many bile ducts and then they had to re-plumb the remaining bile ducts into her small intestines (because of no gall bladder). Surgery went well, no complications, although she had to go back to the hospital to "unfreeze" her stomach (it wasn't digesting stuff after the surgery), and now she is doing very well. The some of the options that she had weren't available 5yrs ago, and its all thanks to research and studies. Now because of all this my mom can go back to work this october.

It will be difficult to arrange the schedules for our team, as most of us have things going on, but we will try our damnest to make sure we are on the grid.

Salut FM5!

Sorry to hear the story man and to the others also sharing theirs...
I think alot of us racing will have been related directly or indirectly to that terrible disease so its a great cause.

Can anyone tell me what the restrictions will be ie with Traction Control / ABS / Stability - will any of these be forced on or off just so i have the data for people im trying to get to race.

Cheers all
