The assists for this series wont change. If you want to run them, so be it. I personally have no problem running these cars without them (I actually forgot to change the settings back from vec on wheel, but w.e). If I made the series no assists from the beginning we probably wouldn't have half the entries.
On an entry note: we are dropping xpr moontower from gtx has he can't make the rest of the events, so any privateer that wants to enter GTX can do so, so spread the word.
Also keep having people sign up as reserves for either class so we can fill em up.

I thought we wanted fair close racing? At least half of the series is Assists and the other half is No Assists which is benefiting both sides! What's so wrong with this?
I'll give you some knowledge... You have something called an independent variable and a dependent variable.
For example; TCS is an independent VARIABLE, you can change it to either On or Off. You then have Time, which you cannot change as it is an dependent VARIABLE thus it depends upon the independent such as Assists, Driving Skill et cetera.
The fact that you, yourself, are calling the current system a variable, more precisely it is an independent variable, just shows that you have no care for those who want to run NO assists. You know that it is a variable, and yet you act like it has no consequence, As long as you can run then, you don't have a problem. if you don't see this as a problem, even though Dover78 answered his own question, then you clearly haven't driven the car (Nissan GT-R GT500) with no assists, and that is Simulation Steering, No TCS, No racing line (And Manual w/clutch @ LRT Breeze). If this proposition cannot be implemented - those who go the extra mile give them more points! This would mean that those who run no assists will not lose out.
I understand that "Everyone has the same tools at their disposal its up to the driver to maximise themseleves with what they have." But that's just plain ignorant. Me and many others don't find it 'fun' just turning a corner and doing full throttle like you Breeze, some of us like to actually try and work for a win. If TCS wasn't so much faster, then we wouldn't have a problem!
You've had 2 out of the 4 races to get the maximum out of your car while running TCS, now let those who don't use TCS have something back (Breeze 1 out of the 4 in GTX, but that is what you get for swapping your car).
You'd have to be completely ignorant to see that there is No... problem, at least what I have suggested balances the system!

I want fair racing but i dont see why its now thats its been brought up and not at the start or after round one, why half way through? 1 thing i will say, i'm 100% for if its an assists championship and people like you run NOTHING, you should be rewarded so it can help balance it. I know TCS is faster, im not that ignorant to think assists slow people.
Yes Zabbzi that would be a good feature, i remeber it from Gran Tourismo. That could be something that would help things like this, you could say you have a maximum of 5 out of 9 for TCS for a series, it would be cool but Forza are lazy lol.

It's not the running, I'm fine with the running I can control the car (apart from stupid kerbs). It's the fact that on cars like this, TCS makes up 0.5 - 1.5 seconds depending upon the driver due to it being much smoother. Without TCS, you may be able to control the car, but the Turbo lag this car has is crazy! Once the Turbo kicks in you waste so much time throttle controlling the car. And finally I NEVER said this should be a No Assists from the start. I said that for balance in the series, you should make half of the series assists and the second half no assists, how is this so hard to understand? This wasn't a demand, it was a suggestion as it is unfair. If that suggestion couldn't be implemented, how about giving no assist drivers more points. Just saying...
Anyway, debate over.

I run no assists on the merc, granted it doesn't have as much power as the GTR but is still skittish in the corners but I don't feel drivers that run no assists should get extra points, the assists are there if ppl want to use them, if not then that's down to the individual.
Thats just my opinion, not wanting to start arguments or step on anyone's toes.

Did I say that?? As I said I don't run assists so why 'no surprise here'. As I said assists are there if ppl WANT to use them, they don't have to use them.

I haven't been on this site for long but GSR Roadrunner you really do like a moan don't you... Why if your not happy with something why does it become everyone's problem. No one is having a pop at you but every time someone makes a comment you have to try to belittle them. No one has been that way with you. If you don't like the championship rules then don't run.. Simple

I don't really care about the assists/no assists. This is a community run series, therefore if you wanted to take the car list and go create a "No assists" championship, nothing is stopping you from doing that.
however i will say i dont think people that intentionally make it harder on themselves should be given more points.
If i cut off my hands before i go play a game of basketball, i'm not gonna get extra points for putting the ball in the hoop anyway I can.

The "no surprise here" = No surprise that no one wants to make a change.
Dover78, facts and suggestions are not belittling. You saying I moan is belittling so think about what you say before you press that 'submit' button.
As I said, I don't want a series where there is only assists allowed or no assists. I suggested making the series where half of THE series is assists and the other half is no assists as we are HALF way through.
Clearly no one understands the meaning of close fair racing.

As the series coordinator for this, I welcome all feedback to the series. If the rest of the season goes as well (or better) as the fist half then undoubtedly there will be a 2nd season. We've casually/not-so-seriously discussed some changes and we'll open that up for public opinion when/if that time comes.
However that said, about this particular bit of feedback, let's leave it here.
BTW if you haven't seen/heard; we will be hosting a podcast this saturday (likely 2pm est) that's 100% XGT. Think of it as a mid-season recap show. We plan on taking questions live on twitch and we'll later post it to youtube as well.
