I'm not one of the "aliens" that is able to hit a 1:35, but from being around these super quick guys I can tell you that one way to learn from it is to use rivals to gradually work your way up. It takes a ton of time, but you'll discover little tricks and things to keep your car stable when everyone else is lifting or struggling. These are the places that they gain so much time.

Like Cyphon said, it's the little things. Braking is huge. Imagine this, if you brake slightly later but still make the same corner, say you pick up a tenth. Do that in every corner at Sonoma, you pick up over a second. On tracks like COTA, you can gain 1-2 seconds on that alone. Practice, practice, practice.

Thats all it is, little things like slight later braking, use all the track available, and be patient dont overdrive... I enjoyed last night, me and lawrence was very close throughout. And jonno dont rate me unless its GT  first time i ever raced A class ;)

One of the other things is that once you learn what you need to do, practice so much that it becomes muscle memory. You start to hear a tire roaring and you know you're pushing too hard. You'll notice that the car's attitude is a little bit too far out of alignment from that perfect lap you did a couple laps ago, and you'll know that you need to ease off and wait for the alignment to come back. Placement of tires into a corner, consistency of throttle on, squeaking past a wall to gain that extra tenth or two. It all comes down to a routine that's so practiced (not just on a single track either) that when the car does start to get a teeny bit out of shape, the truly fast guys know it within nanoseconds and are already correcting for it. This is how they can drive the car on the edge lap after lap. They still make mistakes, but their corrections are much quicker than yours and mine.

That is so true...i know what to do an when to do it but i fail to be consistant and also lack the ability to push it to the limits that is were practice come in to it as i rarely do practice as i get bored on my own lol...

pretty sure that there's a bug with saving replays over a certain length. Everyone that we've heard of that tried to save the replay was booted from the lobby.
