Tomorrow begins a new community event with the Meecedes 190-E on Hockenheim national. I've already been testing and here's what I've learned.
1. If you like the rear end to slide out a bit, which is very useful here, I've begun to drop the rear tire pressure at bit. Nothing too crazy, this isn't a drifting challenge, but enough to keep momentum.
2. Forget down force. As I practiced with the car I've found it less and less useful.
3. I've tipped the gearing a bit more to acceleration. The track is mostly sweeping turns but as the Germans are known for they require throttle discipline going through. So you'll need fast accel after patience through the turns.
4. Off of turn one there's a huge paved area that won't invalidate your run. Use it but don't get crazy with it.
More to come as I figure it out. Fast times are looking like low 1:30's but that may drop as the community gets on it.
