It astounds me with the IMSA and WEC growing so fast with new manufacturers it would only make sense to fund this ..

The problem is like Stephen said, it's who's in charge of the division. Some heads are more eager to go racing than others. Why they put that guy in charge is beyond me, because all of the current stuff coming out this year and next was almost finished when Gilles was still head of Dodge/SRT. They keep touting the division is all about sportiness and performance, but they only thing they will fund is Nascar Canada (CASCAR for the old-timers). Drag racing is nice and all for engine development for the crate engine sales, but the company is pretty shortsighted at times, and usually late to the party.
